Fix Cumulative Grade not Displaying on Progress Tab when multiple terms are active

Currently, on the student Academic Progress tab, when multiple terms are active, the gradebook cumulative does not display: instead it shows as "--". This situation resolves immediately if you de-select term(s) until only one term is active, at which point the gradebook cumulative displays correctly.

Video of Issue
I've created a short video demonstrating and explaining this issue in action along with my current workaround.

Issue Description and more detail:
By default, any term(s) whose start and end date range includes today's date are automatically active when you navigate to the Progress tab. (For example, if a School level runs Semesters and Trimesters, or Full Year and Single Terms concurrently, there will be 2 terms active at the same time)

For School levels in this situation, this causes the Progress tab to not show the cumulative assignment grade until one of the active terms is de-selected. This confuses parents and students, who think grades aren't entered when really it's just a display issue.

Enhancement Request:

  • Ideally, all gradebook cumulatives would display in the progress tab when multiple terms are active.

  • If this is impossible, we either need the ability to set which term(s) will show by default, or only one term should be allowed to display at a time, to prevent the progress screen from showing "--" for the cumulative grade.

Either of these options would make more sense and be less confusing for students, parents, and teachers than the current behavior where you can select multiple terms but it breaks the cumulative grade display.
