Idea: Rename fields in Parent Submit Attendance

The current Parent Submit Attendance screen uses “Reason for absence” for the dropdown that is actually the system’s attendance types (e.g., Absent Excused, Absent Unexcused, Tardy, etc.). That label is misleading because parents will naturally think they should type their explanation there. The comment box below is where parents actually write their reason.

Proposal:
• Rename the dropdown from “Reason for absence” to “Attendance Type” (or similar) to clarify it’s a category, not a parent reason.
• Rename the comment box to something like “Parent Explanation / Comment / Reason” so it’s clear that’s where the parent gives the reason.

This will make the UI clearer and reduce confusion between selecting an attendance type and writing a reason.
