We like the ability to set up Attendance Rules in Conduct; however, we want to tally absences based on number in a specific course not every course. For example, Johnny missed today because he was sick. He missed 6 classes. His total is already 6 though he only missed each course once. We would like to set the Attendance Rule to say "Every time they get X <Absence Reasons> in a course = <infraction>
5 years on and STILL no movement on this most basic of needs.
Don't ever change, Blackbaud. Shine on, you crazy diamond.
It would also be great to have unexcused absences be dynamic/reversable. What we run into is that a student originally may have an unexcused absence, but later we find out they had an excusable reason i.e. doctor's appt. I change the absence to excused. However, the system still considers the student as having unexcused absences.
Update??
Hi, Any movement on this? It seems like a pretty logical option that should be included in the software...
This this would be wildly helpful.
This would be so very helpful in tracking a student's attendance totals by course. Â
