Online sign-ups for parent teacher conferences

Create the ability to schedule conferences online.  The system would already have the enrollment for each student and would present the parents with a list of advisors or homeroom teachers  for their children.  An administrator would have to set up the conference dates and the times that teachers were available on that day as well as the ability to block out times for lunch.

Then once the conference is scheduled a confirmation e-mail and reminder the day before would be great.

Our school has used Sign Up Genius in the past and currently uses Meet the Teacher. Sign Up Genius is better at custom times for different teachers' needs but is time-consuming to build. Meet the Teacher is great at importing data but incredibly inflexible if different time availability is needed amongst faculty. It seems that the data already exists in Blackbaud, a tool needs to be made available so that we can schedule the conference, identify the parameters, and let parents and teachers manage it afterward.

Our school sends out a sign up genius for each grade. It would be lovely if the system supported this option, but I would rather have other things worked on first - like getting addresses added to emergency contacts.

I did not enjoy setting up the schedule or signing up in pick a time as the parent. An in portal option would be much more user friendly. Like course request sign ups - just a tab that would open up when access dates were reached.

Thanks for letting me know about pickatime.  I will look into that.

Blackbaud has a partnership with Pick-A-Time  (pickatime.com) online scheduling system that does exactly what you are describing. We used it for the first time in the Fall of 2016 and it went very smoothly.  I think the ability for schools to partner with third parties like Pick-A-Time is one of the things that makes the onSuite a good choice.
