This isn't actually a NEW idea.  There are many separate "ideas" with the same motive.  If you amalgamate all the votes, I think you'll find that it's something valuable to many users.  It would be great to be able to click "Add A Document" in a students record - the same area where you can add an award, an official note, etc.
