Our Main Office Manager is responsible for campus-wide calendaring and scheduling for school Events, including department meetings, committee meetings, interviews, special events, parent meetings, etc. -- ALL calendar events that are not generated via academics, advisory or athletics. Ideally, she needs to be able to monitor room utilization/occupation directly on the calendar so she can easily shuffle room bookings around to best accommodate the various group(s) requesting meeting space. (In almost all cases, the Free Rooms reports are inadequate because these events aren't on the academic Schedule and happen outside of school hours.) For example, she needs to be able to see at a glance what meetings and events are booked in a particular Room Location for a specific day/week, so she can a) see if a requested room is available and, if not, offer alternate times/locations and b) tell our hospitality volunteers, IT department, maintenance staff etc. when the room will be available for set up and clean up. (She currently manages this process using separate calendar software, which means duplicating EVERY event on an external calendar and assigning each event to a separate category based on its location. VERY cumbersome!) If we could add Filter by Location to the calendar, it would entirely solve this issue!
