Add the ability to change relationships via a drop-down

When Families enter the system through an inquiry or otherwise it defaults any parent/child relationships under the blanket "Parent" role. We would like the ability to edit the relationship type in the profile without needing to delete and re-add the correct relationship type.

Just want to ad my voice to the comments on this one. The fact that you can't edit the relationship without deleting and re-adding is greatly frustrating when you have to break address links to make it happen, and then re-link them just to change it from Parent to Guardian, or Parent to Step-parent.

This would be very helpful. We have a large international student population so a lot of agents and guardians come through on inquiry or application forms. This means a lot of manual fixing and it is much more time consuming to delete and re-add the relationships.

We feel the same. Stepchildren are added as children and we have to delete and recreate those. In EE or RE you can edit relationship types easily. If the constituent can't select the proper role, it would be nice for us to be able to without deleting and recreating.

I'm editing Relationships created while parents completed a "Grandparent Profile" form. Some of these relationships are Aunts, Uncles, Special Friends. I have to delete the relationship only to add the same person again with the new relationship type. Too many extra keystrokes. A drop down of available relationships would be easier to manage.

This is especially frustrating because the user already chooses the role when they fill out the form- a lot of this could be fixed by just passing that role along instead of keying everything as a "parent."

But then, now that the contact information has gotten a bit more complicated to decouple, it makes deleting and adding the same user a much longer and error-prone process where everything needs to be unlinked and relinked properly.
