If a student is marked as "abroad," they should not appear in current student lists

We currently have two students studying abroad. We do not want to unenroll the students while they are away, so we checked off the "Abroad" checkbox on their Contact Card. Unfortunately, this does not automatically update the results of any lists. At the very least it would be great to have a filter on Lists > Students. Thanks for considering!

I think the best way to accomplish this would be to have a new student role for "Abroad" or "LoA" (leave of absence). We would want to keep their access to certain areas, but not count toward our current enrollment, or show in "student" lists.

It would be great to leave the student enrolled, but like this idea says, when abroad is checked, they wouldn't pull in student lists. We still need to be able to communicate via our College Counseling and Dean advisories with the students and parents; however, you are unable to put a student in these advisories unless they are enrolled. Currently we have to withdraw the student and then make sure the Deans and College Counselors remember to add these students and parents email addresses to every email they said using their groups.

It would be nice if it could be also used to indicate staff on leave or sabbatical and remove them automatically from the directory for a period of time. Right now, I just indicate they are on leave in their last name field. Not ideal.
