Ability to have Default Custom Date Range on new Calendar Merged

I would like to be able to have a Default Date Range on the new Calendar. In the last calendar that was available, schools were able to choose from one date to the next (i.e. 6/28/15 to 7/24/15). We would like this feature back on the new calendar to easily find events.
