There are several portions of the process that need improvement.
Processing Event registrations - It would be very helpful to be able to correct Applicant/Candidate information before processing. For example: Capitalizing first, middle, last and preferred names. Correcting misspelled email addresses (missing the @ symbol or letters in the top level domain), correcting phone numbers (missing digits, replacing bizarre separators) just to name a few.
The ability to only process part of the event form - For example having a sign-up form for an admission event that we can mark as completed in the checklist, but not update the rest of the data in the form. If we have more than one event during the admissions process, the poorly entered data will not destroy what we have already fixed. This would be a good work around to the problems caused by lack of data validation and polishing features.
Event Registration Form - The limited ability to customize this form causes a multitude of issues. For example: In our open house form we checked the "Get Number of Attendees" and "Get Names of Attendees" check boxes on the General Info page. Much to our surprise this not only asks for the name, but the email address which can not be removed (case #129667). The parents filling out the form frequently fill in the sibling email address with their own email address, this causes the sibling record and the parent record to be flagged as duplicate records.
This is would benefit the admissions staff most directly, but will help the technology staff and everyone else using the information in downstream processes.
Is it possible to auto-migrate our current events (that were built in the old version). We just set everything up for the admission season.
The new event registration experience is now live!
I tend to agree with Mary, except perhaps make it visible before processing.
The primary improvement I would like to ask for is that the form response can be viewed/printed when processed.
These improvements would really help to make the process more efficient. The current way results in a lot of needless busy work during the busy admissions season.
