Notifications - Allow HTML to better format the messages

As it is now, the text pretty much all runs together in one line.  It would be nice to allow for HTML or some other way we can do line breaks, paragraph breaks or other types of formatting.

Hi Brian! HTML formatting is currently possible in our Notifications EAP, which will be released to all schools by the end of June 2022. Please email me if you'd like to participate. jessica dot walters at blackbaud dot com

This was listed as Planned in 2016. However, none of the notifications in the Notifications task in the Communication menu (in either EMS or Core) has any HTML or formatting options available. Reminders and follow-ups that are sent from a checklist item or an interview/visit scheduling window do have some minor HTML formatting, but do not include things like images and colored text blocks that are available in official notes.

Can you confirm that this is still in the works, or if not, please put it back on the to-do list?

This would indeed be most helpful. Automated messages from the Blackbaud platform are part of our branding and it is important our messaging be consistent.

We would really like these messages to be customizable beyond plain text.

Core > Communication > Notifications > Notifications task.

    • Category: User Management

    • Notification Actions: Password URL, Username (really all of them :) )

    Thank you!!
