Currently, the only way to determine what rooms are not in use on a specific or period of days is to run the "Free Rooms - by Meeting Time" report. The only filtering options for this report is the date range.
It would be great if we also had the following additional Free Room reports:
- Free Room by Block (organized around blocks, instead of meeting times)
- Free Room by Building (organized around buildings, instead of meeting times)
- Free Room by Room Type (organized around the categorizations of rooms) - think about looking for a computer lab that was available vs. a multi-purpose room
- Free Room by Dept - I can imagine a scenario where a department wants to know the classrooms their classes are assigned to for the current year and based on those rooms determine when those rooms are available (not in classroom use by their department or any other department)
- Free Room by Day Name
It would also be great to have the additional filtering options to limit the scope of data generated by the report:
- By Building - only see available rooms based on selected building
- By Room type - only see available rooms with the selected category
- By Department
