Every year, we struggle with how to get approved course request confirmation information to families. Not only is it a receipt of the student's choices, families use these for book orders. We used to mail paper copies home - we don't want to do that anymore. The first year, we did a merge from Course Requests - For Scheduling report and uploaded those to the student files. But that was arduous. This year, we opened a view-only window and told users to take screen shots - but that's not great customer service.
What would be great is if there was a function, either contained in or similar to Report Card builder. Ideally, we are looking to pull in course requests with alternate choices and course code, then publish just like we publish report cards - same location, etc.
This would be extremely helpful! My school also creates a mail merge in May but many parents/students want the ability to go back and see what courses were requested before receiving the letter with courses.
We have done the same thing as the above -- the first year we created a mail merge and the second year we created an open window. It would be great for families to be able to see a list of approved courses for book ordering.
