We include two comments on the report, a course objective and the student comment. Currently, the course objectives are grouped together followed by the student comments. We would like the option to group the comments together by course so the student comment follows the course objective so the report is easier to read. We resorted to changing the formatting to one page per course which makes for a very lengthy report card.
This has been implemented with our new report card builder that was made available to all onRecord sites in the July release.
This is a high priority from a mission/messaging perspective. We encourage students/parents to go beyond the number grade and read the comments carefully, and yet the Report Cards have all of the numbers at the top of the page, and the individual has to connect information from 3 different locations in the report card (the numerical grade, the canned comments, and the course description).
We would like the option to have the individual and course comments directly follow each grade, so that all of the information for each class would be together on our standard report cards.
If we can't get that, it would be helpful if the individual and course comments were grouped by course, instead of having all individual comments followed by all group comments.
