Ability to add a Student Grading note that can be published on the Transcript

Currently to add a note to a transcript, you need to export the transcript to word to add the note. Once this is done there is not a historical copy of the transcript with the note in the software. If there was a way to add a grading note through Manage grades and display the note on the transcript then a school would not have to keep a paper copy of the transcript.

The ability to control where the grading note could appear on the transcript would help as well.

    Admin response

This has been implemented with the 7/24/19 release for Student Information System in the new Transcript Builder.

This enhancement is a necessity. We often need to add notes to explain something unusual on a student's transcript, and the note needs to be on all versions of the transcript during the student's matriculation at our school. Please help.

Hey everybody - it's kind of a hack and workaround but you can add an "Award" from a student's record and have it display on transcript and show description. OnRecord > People Finder > Select Student > Look on right-hand side, add an Award (+Award). Then in transcript builder mark to publish and show awards and description. Voila. You might have some odd award names and they will appear in a section called "Award". But its frustrating to see that this functionality is already there. Why not just have add Note and be able to publish on transcript like awards? NOTE: It looks like transcript clips description for Award at 57 characters but that could be because of other junk on transcript. Here's a screenshot: http://screencast.com/t/C72DTsbKDv
