Teachers to be able to Edit Attendance after Recorded

There is currently one, and only one excuse type that allows for the Teachers to edit Saved Attendance. The excuse type 'Absent No Excuse' will allow the teacher to make changes and was designed for the ability to take attendance first thing in the class and mark kids with this excuse. Upon those students showing up to class they could go back in mark them tardy, present etc. This is the only excuse type at this time that can be edited by the faculty once attendance has been saved and or submitted. We can rename this if we would like to something more meaningful to our School. This is a functionality we had in FAWeb and assumed we could do it in onCampus. I would like the ability to allow Teachers to edit any type of Attendance, this way if it was coded incorrectly the Attendance Manager does not need to go back in and change the reason, we want this to fall on the Teachers responsibility, as the Teacher is the one who added the initial attendance and should be the one to make the change.

    It would be more efficient if teachers can go back and make changes to their attendance if for example a student walks in late to class or has to leave early.

    I voted for this not because I think that the current policy is broken, but because it would be helpful for the teacher to edit their attendance within the period. That way they can edit a mistake before the end of the period. I have had a couple of teacher mark a student present and then realize after they hit send that they weren't really there. Correcting this during the same period seems like a good feature. However, once the period is over, they shouldn't be allowed to change the attendance. At that point it becomes a matter for the attendance manager and that is the way it should be. Thanks.

    Our teachers are getting very frustrated with Blackbaud in general because of this one issue....if you fix this, you will certainly win back our crew!

    Attendance taking will be much more efficient when this feature is added.

    Many teachers record a mistake in attendance and need to change the status without contacting the office. That just creates a lot of work for everyone.

    Yes, this is proving to be frustrating for my teachers as well. A student may be present for half the day and then go home sick OR come late but then arrive on time to all the rest of their classes. Please keep me updated on this potential change.

    We had this functionality with FAWeb and with OnCampus to FAWeb.   Our teachers track down our students and we are very frustrated that this feature is gone.
