Within OnRecord>Procedures>Grading>Record Grades, grades have to be recorded for each section. it would be a time saver to have a bulk record option for all sections. We have grading plans for our transcript grades and record them separately from report card grades. We didn't feel it was right to pass this extra work on to the teacher, even though it would save time for the individuals responsible for recording these grades. It takes a good 1 1/2 hours to pull in the calculation and record the grades for each section. We do this 4 times a year. A bulk record would save hours of time every year.
This would be amazing! Just between our Upper and Middle School courses, we have over 500 sections that have to be manually calculated. We want to take this responsibility off of the teachers since it literally just takes the gradebook calculation and rounds it to a certain decimal place. If I could bulk run all the calculations at once, this would be a GAME CHANGER!
We would also love to be able to pull all cumulative gradebook grades to the grade plan in bulk. We pull grades midsemester on behalf of the teachers. It is very tedious to do it one section at a time.
We are also in a similar position to what Ryan described above. Each semester we run grades three times, for a total of six each year. This being our first year with ON, we didn't want to overburden the teachers with this additional aspect of managing their own gradebooks. But as Ryan said, the way ON is set up currently, I'm going to have to set aside at least a half day six times a year just to generate grades. Having a bulk record grades function would be immensely helpful and save quite a bit of time each year.
