When class is cancelled, attendance that has been pre-recorded for the day shouldn't change.
This is needed for better reporting as regardless of if the class had met or not, a student with a pre-recorded absence would not have been there and should remain as marked absent.1

include the status of a student's daily attendance (homeroom) in individual teacher's class attendance, so teachers know whether the kid was in school earlier in the day if he/she is not present in class

Daily attendance should allow for fractional days missed
if a student checks in after first period, attendance should allow a fractional day missed rather than a fully missed day. Similarly if they check out of school early!1

Allow comment to be entered when taking attendance and recording as attended class
Currently we can add a comment to attendance if student was late or missed class but not if attended. Teachers would like to show as attended and enter comment but comment is greyed out and can't be done if attended.0
