Allow teachers to enter a max grade value of zero for bonus assignments

Teachers who want to have a bonus assignment listed are unable to list the max value of zero which skews the grade impact they are trying to accomplish. They need this option to get a TRUE bonus point effect on cumulative grades. This option existed last year, but was removed with the new version upgrade.

I believe by checking the extra credit box it only adds the points to the "numerator" total and nothing to the denominator so it acts like it is out of zero even though you have to enter a max point value.

You can mark it as extra credit, but you are still forced to put a value higher than zero. We are asking that teachers be able to list zero as an available option for the value of the assignment.

Dana, my understanding is that marking an assignment as extra credit does this - that an extra credit assignment can have a positive impact on a grade but not a negative impact if not completed. But perhaps I've misunderstood how your teachers are using bonus assignments?
