Data Import: Delete values

I would like to be able to delete data via the data import process. For example, we don't want the "email" field to be populated at all for pre-schoolers, although most parents put their own email in the box during the application process. As of now, we have to delete these manually.

In Raiser's Edge, you can use a caret (^) to denote a field that should be deleted. That would be an easy solution to this problem.

Good news! This is planned for text fields - we aren't there yet with admin custom fields, but watch our upcoming releases for more info on the beloved carat!

Using the caret (^) in BBK-12 does not work.

I would also like this to be available to delete data from fields.  For example, mailbox and locker numbers and combinations get changed every year. At the end of the year, I would like to be able to use the import file, remove the data and import the null values into those fields to prepare for the next school year.  Also, once students graduate, they do not keep their school email address. Using an import file to overwrite the email field with empty values would be most helpful. Deleting 100-200 email addresses one-by-one is not ideal.
