Employee-Parents would like to differentiate their email addresses

Our employees who are also parents, would like to be able to use their personal emails in the parent directory. They like to keep their job emails seperate from their child's classroom communication. The primary email address is pulled into the Faculty Directory for the website, so switching personal and work addresses doesn't work. It would be great to have a feature that allows the employee-parent to select the CC email for use in parent directories and class rosters.

    So sad to see to see the PLANNED label removed from this idea. Can anyone in development get back to us about why it was removed?

    My school is also really wanting this implemented. I hope something happens with this soon.

    I'm also very glad this idea has been considered as an action item. Now, we are anxious to find out when it will be implemented. We have quite a few employee-parents that need to separate their communications between business and personal email addresses. Creating duplicate user records as a work-around is not a database administrator recommendation.

    If this is a K-12 product why wouldn't you have a field for School email that could be used for students and employees? Would make a lot of sense.

    Another person with dual employee/parent role. We would like employee/parents to designate a personal email for all things relevant to them in their parent role.

    Speaking as an employee/parent in current circumstances, I'm finding it nearly impossible to keep up with email related to my kids' remote schooling while also managing email related to my job running remote schooling for a division.

    We've run into this a lot. The Admissions and Advancement offices want to parent info to be up to date but usually aren't cognizant of the fact that the primary email is what is listed in their classes & the directory.

    I could see this being accomplished by having additional checkboxes adjacent to the emails on the Contact Card that can specify whether the primary and cc emails are either the school or personal addresses.

    While for the most part should be primary = school and personal = cc email, this could ensure the correct address shows under their account when viewing from the class roster as a student or parent vs the email displayed based on the directory being used.
