Mark Student as Repeating in onBoard
I would like to add in a repeat option into onBoard that can come over in the Enrollment record once the Candidate moves out of onBoard. Currently, I have an issue where if a student is incoming but is going to repeat the same grade as they did in the school they left, you can mark that in the Enrollment record in Core but since it is a new Candidate they have not been passed through the onBoard process to have an Enrollment record.
Great idea!
Please add this option.
Please create a way to indicate whether a student is repeating the year upon applying/enrolling.
It would also be very usefull to be able to see their current "role" on the student profile Header when you are in onBoard. We have some of our parents that do not re-enroll the kids but actually put in another application so it would help to see if they are still current students or Alumni or Past Students, right there.
It would be great to be able to have a repeat option for a candistae's grade just beofre he is enrolled. Often that decision is made as we are completing the enrollment process and looking at final transcripts from the previous school. It is cumbersome to do this in Core after the student is enrolled as we then have to delete the contract.
We track this data and therefore it is important to have a way to delineate repeat students
Thank you, Christine. We have had the same issue with marking incoming students as repeats or changing their designation after they are enrolled.
Or in my case, the candidate has already contracted and I can't edit the record in Core to indicate that the student will be repeating a grade level. It makes sense for this to happen in onBoard during the Admission process (first point of entry) and come over to Core, etc. as part of the Student Enrollment record.
This is particularly helpful when we are scheduling courses for the student. Knowing that they are a repeat "nth" grader gets us going in the right direction faster. Knowing this before they are enrolled as a student facilitates the conversations with all interested parties (advisors, parents, student, teachers).
This would be a useful addition for many members of the school community.
Please add the designation of a repeat year as an option for a candidate. That way the student is properly classified and records are correct from the first day of enrollment.
