Multiple Contracts for the same year under one Contract Type

I would like to be able to have multiple contracts for the same year under one Contract type. Currently, we have to create a new Contract type every time we want to add a new Contract for the 2016-2017 year. I would like to be able to have mutiple 2016-2017 Contracts under one Contract type.

It is ridiculous to have to create a new contract type just to make a slight edit to the contract. I understand having to preserve the contracts already submitted. But we should be able to inactivate that one and create a new. Not have to make a whole new type and then a new contract! All I need to do to our contract is toggle on a tuition display field that we neglected to turn on. We already have 7 different types and contracts. Now I have to create 7 more, just to toggle on one setting that really makes no change to the contract itself, other than now displaying their tuition amount. Clutters up the system.

This would be useful for non-smart integrate contracts, as creating new contracts from scratch can be quite a time-consuming process.

I support this, or the ability to edit/delete existing contracts so we can issue revised ones to parents.  Ideally keeping a history of edits as this post suggests would be great, but we need some way to delete or replace processed contracts with revised versions.  Old ones can be marked as expired, and replacement ones can then be issued.  This is very important.

We are creating our contracts for the 2016-2017 school year - and i can see that by July 1 we will most likely have 20 different contract types to handle the nuances of late enrollment/admissions.  The day we launch contracts we will have eight different versions available for parents.  Yes - it would be nice to be able to make a new copy of my Re-Enrollment Sibling contract within that same Type when I need to make a change in the fees or the due date of that contract - instead of having to create yet another Contract Type.  Our grid is going to become unwieldily rather quickly.
