We like to use internal Official Notes for sharing information between Admission Officers about prospective students. When an official note is added to the system it locks down to the date it is entered. It would work better for us if we could choose the date for the note. Example: If we have a conversation with a prospective family on Monday and it takes a few days to enter comments in the system, let's say Wednesday, then it looks like the conversation was had on a different date as the system will assign the date of Wednesday and there is no option to change it when you're writing the note. The point of entering the note is to have a clear idea of the actual conversation stream.
It's important to have the entered date appear in the Official Notes columns as well rather than the entered date, as not everyone can enter the same day. Then the date doesn't appear anywhere and is useless.
BB already has a field to enter a date in Official notes that is separate from the entered date. However, that date entered doesn't display anywhere.
This is an important function that we used in our old Blackbaud product that is a major flaw with OnBoard.
