I suggest that practices have the option of being internally visible (students and faculty but not published to external website). At a boarding school, we have no need for publishing practice schedules out to our website, but we would like to use the practices feature internally for our students' calendars and for attendance taking. Other schools might want to publish practices to their external websites, but the option to keep practices internal would make this feature usable to us.
Has anything been resolved with this? As Mark commented "If we can get the practices to appear internally on the feed so attendance
can be taken by coaches without those practices appearing on the external
web page, then we will have what we need."
To my knowledge and my IT guys searching - it does not appear to be resolved or "already exist"
Hi Mark - I second Anthony in that I have to publish the practice schedule for my coaches and AD to see/take attendance. Unfortunately, publishing the practice schedule clogs up our calendar and makes a day "huge" on the external calendar when you have 12 teams practicing each day. Also, the external team page publishes first to last so you have to scroll through 2 months of practices to finally see the team schedule. Please address this issue and re open so it can be modified.
Hi Anthony,
Thank you for writing back to us about this feature that allows control of
the publishing of practices. I am pretty certain this feature did not exist
earlier in the year, but what you have done is helpful.
Here is one little caveat about what we were requesting. If I do not
publish practices, then the practices do not appear in the *My Day:
Schedule & Performance* feed. Without the practice appearing there, I do
not see a way for coaches who lack access to OnRecord to record attendance
for their practices. If I publish the practices, then they do appear in
that feed (see screenshots below for today's date, with the swimming
practice unpublished and published to see what I am referencing).
If we can get the practices to appear internally on the feed so attendance
can be taken by coaches without those practices appearing on the external
web page, then we will have what we need.
Thank you,
Mark

Hey Mark,
I saw this suggestion come in and it is something that is already available. If you edit the page with your Upcoming Games content, click the settings icon for that block. Inside those settings you will see an option for "Include the practice schedule" and that is marked to be active. If you unmark that it should give you what you are looking for.
If there is something else here that I am missing in translation just let me know and we can see what we can do.
Anthony
