We would like the ability to filter the new assignment center's Overdue/Missing section by assignment due date or by Semester so parents and students can view just what's overdue or missing in the current period.
Marking this Idea as implemented as I believe we addressed the root of the issue. In today's release, the Missing and Overdue header now only displays assignments in the active term. Students can still access assignments from previous terms via the Past Assignments filter option.
We'll be changing the Overdue and Missing header in a way that it only pulls in assignments for the active term. No specific ETA on this, but I'll update this idea once the enhancement has been made live.
Thanks for logging your thoughts and keep 'em coming!
Very much agree. I like this feature a lot, but kids want the ability to let the prior term go, and teachers want to keep the "missing" data in their gradebook. It seems like "active" is overruled by "missing" which might be what is needed, but at least to have marking periods as a cut off would I think be smart.

Sorry one addendum to my comment: or a filter by term button/drop down!
