When adding course request for student, show prerequisites, course already taken, etc.

If I am editing a student's schedule and add a course, the system should tell me if they have already taken the course, wrong grade level, prerequisites not met, etc.

    I fully agree.

    It looks like the functionality for "Already taken" is already built into the system, it just isn't being utilized in multiple places.

    I would especially like to see it not only in Course Requests, but also when making changes in "Student Enrollments".

    The place "already taken" currently exists is in the student's record, under the Groups tab. If you click Manage next to their enrollments, it goes to a grid-view of their academic enrollments. There is a blue exclamation point in the box if the student has already taken the course, and it says "Already Taken".

    Hopefully this functionality could be added to Course Requests and Student Enrollments without too much trouble.
