Teachers frequently want to write one portion of a class comment which applies to a whole section, and then add a personalized portion for each student. Each term we have multiple teachers who write the personalized parts first, and then either find that adding the generic part is needlessly difficult or inadvertently overwrite all their work with the generic part.

This could be avoided if there was an option to append the "Add to all" comment to whatever comments already exist, instead of always irrevocably overwriting them.
