It isn't currently possible to set a student absence for a single class over the span of a week, or several weeks, without manually entering each instance by hand. This is problematic when students are excused from, for example, gym due to an injury.

It would be nice if we could: select the student, select the specific class they will be missing, and select the time frame of the absence.

If attendance could be set by class rather than time, the attendance program could automatically take into account schedule rotations.
