We are currently working with APIs to connect blackbaud to a system called school pass. The tool works fairly well, but also requires extra maintenance and creates issues elsewhere in the SIS (students have to be in a dummy class. All of this is in the name of allowing teachers of young students to assign kids dynamically to attending an after school care program, or a special activity, or taking the bus, or being picked up by parents.

I'm sure it would be a project, but with all the new work in attendance it would be a great service to PreS-8 schools to have attendance codes generate rosters for attendance. I.e. when implemented schools could create a present code called "Aftercare" which records the student as present and populates a roster for an aftercare program, which can then be marked present.
