Publish Checkbox is available when generating Academic Performance which manages if parents can see Academic Performance or not. Can you add a Date and Time setting to publish?
This would be helpful so that it can mirror when our grades are viewable by parents. We like to check honor roll listing before grades are viewable by parents to make sure data is as expected. It would be nice to add this setting so that we do not have to go back in and click the publish checkbox for each grade level, or somehow tie this to grades being posted.
Thanks!
This is an extremely important feature because we don't release academic performance until the grades are released with the report card. So it should have a date and time setting just like report cards. Students will talk with one another to see if they have made it.
Adding another comment here as I was hoping this was going to be addressed with the new report card builder. Honor Roll should have a publish date/time. We publish report cards automatically by date 9old) and or date/time (new). Currently, I need to manually go in and check the "publish" box for each and every grade level for our Honor and Effort Rolls at the exact time I publish the report cards because I don't want honors to show on the progress page prior to report card publishing.
A date (and time if possible) would be very helpful for publishing Academic Performance. In our case, we want honors posted the same exact time as report cards.
This is our first year using onRecord for report cards. We love the idea that we can include honors on the report card, but being unable to publish the honors to match the publishing of report cards is definitely a snag. I would like some way to preview the lists before they are published, get someone to double-check them, and be sure that they would release to parents/students at the same time report cards are available.
My issue is that if we publish Term I and there is any gap of time when a parent or student views the report card before we publish Term II, it would appear as though the student earner honors for only Term I. I think that would upset a number of people.
I'd like to use Academic Performance on the report card, but this publishing issue is likely to hold us back.
