Master Rollover- Years & Term & Marking Periods should not have to be exactly the same to roll over for Grade Book & Grading to Rollover

It does not make any sense that you have to set up your years and terms (core) and marking periods (academics), with the exact same dates as the previous year in order to roll over the grade book and grading. Then go back to your years and terms and marking periods and change all the dates for what your school year actually is. It seems this is something that has changed in the past year. We were always able to put in our new dates, which moved a day or two on either side, now this year, we get an error that appears to be that the years/terms and marking periods do not match, but what the error really means is that your dates do not match the year your are rolling from.

I would seem the option when creating years and terms would say: If you are rolling over, check here to use the same dates, if you are manually setting up, enter your dates. That way you do not have to enter dates and then change them. Here is the help article that explains the error.
