This would be helpful for families of students in which the parents are divorced. The "household" breakdown isn't clear so parents often enter the student's biological parents as Parent 1 and Parent 2, even if the parents are divorced. When the application is submitted, divorced parents are then input into the system as living at the same address. 

Asking for the student address and then all parent addresses separately would clarify the student's living situation.
