Adding new fields to sibling section on application form (apply to 'name of sch' and 'which grade'?)

We have many families who apply for more than one child. Therefore, in the sibling section of the application form we need to have the following fields added:

Applying to ‘name of school?’                  Drop down box – yes/no

If yes which grade?                                  Drop down box JK, K, 1, 2, etc.

By adding these fields we will be able to include this information on work lists/lists and export on to spreadsheets.

Having these fields is imperative for us. When reviewing applications, whether or not an applicant has a sibling applying can have a bearing on the decision. Currently admissions staff are manually making a note of sibling applications but there is margin for error when there are so many applications.

While having the "Sibling is a Candidate" option in the Connections tab would be great, it would also be great if the Application Form itself could have the fields that Kim is talking about, above, available in the "Siblings" area (and those could then populate the "Sibling is a Candidate" value on the connections tab as described).

We have a similar need: We collect & report on (need Advanced Lists access to) candidate siblings, even if they're NOT applying to our school. Right now, when we process a candidate application form that has a Sibling on it, we do have the option to make a record for the sibling in "on" (they get assigned the All School role) upon processing. But the record that is created for that Sibling is absolutely minimal in terms of what pulls in from this application form: The "Age", "Current School" "Current Grade" etc. fields which were available on the Application Form do not get placed on the new sibling record.

Can you please make it so that the "Current School" gets pulled onto the new sibling record, even if it's "Current School Other"? We like to know siblings even if they're not applying here- we consider them prospects.

Additionally, there would need to be functionality for processing multiple payments.  We charge an application fee per child, for instance, so the fee would have to change based on adding siblings.

    Hi Brenda,

Just wondering if you saw my reply to your own response to our sibling request question.

I’d love to discuss this with you as we are trying to have our application forms available for families in June – we can’t publish our application form until the sibling question is sorted out and included on our form.

Thank you so much, I look forward to hearing from you.

    Best Regards,

Hi Brenda, Thank you for making our request 'under consideration'.  I have to admit I'm not exactly sure what you are proposing, would the new Community Connection section, be part of the Relationships/sibling section?  We also need to find out what grade the sibling is applying to.  In our eyes it seems logical to ask this question when asking for all the other sibling details.  Perhaps we could discuss this further through a telephone conversation.  Once again we are so pleased that this is being considered - thank you!  Cheers Kim

If we added a new Community Connection option of Sibling is a Candidate, would that take care of this issue? Community Connections are automatically populated based on a user's relationships.
