8th grader teachers need the abillity to recommend for 9th grade classes

We are in a K-12 school that is split between elementary, middle and high. We need the ability for our 8th grade teachers to put in recommendations for the rising 9th graders. Per chats with Blackbaud, the capability does not exist at this time.

As a 6-12 grade school with honors eighth grade students taking HS courses, this is a must.

We would also highly appreciate this idea being adopted to the enhancement roadmap! For any school that wants to use course requests within a school level, there will *always* be an entire grade of students that are entering from the previous school level. I think the course requests feature is effectively broken without this limitation being addressed.

An admin will manually enter rising 9th grader "upper school" requests for now but we look forward to seeing this be addressed!

We are PK3-12 and have three divisions. We've had to really play around with the course configurations to make this possible for the 5th Grade teachers (lower school) to make recommendations in 6th Grade (middle school), and for the 8th Grade (middle school) to 9th Grade (upper school). Needless to say, our course configurations are now inaccurate just so we can use this functionality.

I strongly dislike--it gives me night terrors--intentionally entering false data in order to make the system work the way it should for a K-12 institution.

This is huge for us.  We are split into 2 divisions and this creates problems for us.

Yes, I would also like this recommendation option.

Most definitely! As it stands now, our rising 9th graders have no teacher recommendations because you can't bridge to gap between the two "schools"!

This should be merged with the other idea of allowing course recommendations across school levels. Together the numbers are pretty high.

Agree. We need the ability for our 8th grade teachers to put in recommendations for the rising 9th graders.
