All course recommendations across schools

Today we're not able to make recommendations for courses that are not in the same school level the student is currently enrolled in.

I take back my comment below :o

We are able to enter recommendations/requests across school levels - it just needs to be done from the Admin view, not the Teacher view.

    Thank you!

Yes please! We have several middle-school students every year that take upper-school courses. There is no way for us to account for these students in creating the schedule!

    Thank you for considering.

Please update your software so that K-12 schools can use the benefits of your course requests features. It's extremely cumbersome and tedious to do the transition grades course requests by paper since you do not have the roll over feature. Would be extremely helpful and allow us to utilize the actual program. Seems silly not to be able to.

Please, Please, Please assist those K-12 schools to be able to use up to date technology. Having a K-12 school doing course recommendations on paper is not what should be happening in this day and age. Your software program has great functions. Please add this one as it is essential to help us minimize to our scheduling process. Thank you.

Please, please make this change ASAP. For k12 schools, this is a glaring feature that is missing. As more schools move to models with Honors classes for 8th grade students or accelerated classes for middle school students, not being able to apply recommendations between school levels creates havoc during our scheduling process.

As a 6-12 school with some students taking honors (HS) courses in eighth grade, this is a must.

Still waiting for this functionality SIX years later! This is a pretty basic need for any school that has multiple divisions.

This would be very useful for our rising 8th graders who will be taking 9th grade math or language classes.

    When will this be implemented?

I was actually able to make recommendations for students that will be IN the high school next year, however, if a student is taking classes in a different division (for example a kid who would be in 7th grade next year but taking hs math) this does not show up. It allowed us to "enter them" but doesn't show on parent's or student's page.

This would be very helpful for our rising 9th graders.

As we are prepping for registration for the next school year, I would like to encourage BB to look at this issue again.  Because our Middle School cannot participate in the online course registration process, we have to hobble together a manual process with the online system.  It would be a nicer experience for the students and teachers if the transition to Upper School included the same process that will be used throughout the Upper School experience.

Agreed that our most critical time for course recommendations is for 8th grade teachers to make recommendations for high school.

We really need our 8th grade teachers to be able to recommend classes for our upcoming Freshmen!!

    Huge deficit in the system!

This is really a let down after how the Upper School loved the course recommendations in On.  I hope this is seriously considered for an enhancement soon.

I was alarmed to find this was actually not possible. Very disappointed.

Wow!  What an oversight by Blackbaud.  I hope this is corrected in time for this season's course requests and recommendations.

This is vitally important to ensure that all of our teachers do things the same way.  We too have students who cross divisions and this is a major letdown.
