Improve Topics Pages - Creation and Navigation

Teachers spend way too much time create Topics Pages for their classes due to poor design of the Topics Pages.  The design layout is terribly awkward and requires way too many clicks to set up, navigate and publish to students.  Currently topics are organized on page like icon tiles on phone.  You need to click to preview, and multiple click to add or edit content to a Topics Page.

Why can't there be a single page that allows you to do everything easily without so many time consuming clicks.  Here's an example of an LMS content classroom page where of navigation is streamlined into a single page that allows teacher to do the following:

  • Side Navigation Bar - Easily Navigate to Other Topics
  • Topics within Topics - Other topics pages can be sub-categories in to other topics
  • Content blocks/channels can be added without going into edit mode.
  • Publishing is streamlined so content can be published quickly.  Also teacher can easily see what content students can already view vs content that teachers are still working to produce
  • Can quickly determine which classes and/or section can see what content.

I posted this idea in 2018, so I'm not sure why it lists the idea as submitted by "Guest". I struggle to get teachers to use Blackbaud to post course content. We stopped the paid subscription to Haiku, but many teachers still prefer to use Google classroom.
