Easy way to enter daily/PRN medication distribution for students

Currently the nurse would need to create a visit every day to log a student's daily visit for medications.  This is very time consuming.  We use a paper form (attached) to actually track these daily occurrences for each student.  A way to do this would be very time saving and much more effective record keeping.

I would love to see a new way to track daily medications. They should not be entered under visits but under a "daily medication/prn medication" field. It would be nice for a list of daily medications for all students to populate at the beginning of the day. The list should include the students name, type and amount of medication, time and a column to mark off that the medication was given. The same list should be able to be accessed for prn medications.  I give a large amount of medications daily and typing in each student and medication is very time consuming. A list also helps to assure that all medications are given.

It would be much easier if there was a daily list of students that took medication and we could simply check if they came to take medicine or if they were absent. We currently have to add a visit every single day for each student. Students that come for medication should not be listed under visits. It should be a separate tab called "Medication." Yes, they are visiting the nurse, but when you look at students with frequent visits, all of the students that take medication show up and it makes it seem like they are needing to see the nurse every single day when in reality, they are just taking their daily medication.

This is a great idea, not just for daily visits, but for any student who has regular appointments to the nursr for various reasons.

Agreed! There should be a way to see all students who have daily medications given at school and an easy way to document (ie. check box, time stamp) to document from the same screen
