Make report card / transcript layouts editable (with easy to use interface)

We would like Report Cards/Transcripts layouts to be editable and allow different sections to be easily moved to specific parts of the Report Card/Transcript. This will provide a more customized report card for our school.

    Admin response

This has been implemented with our new report card builder that was made available to all onRecord sites in the July release.  We are hard at work on the transcript builder and hope to have an EAP later this year.

We added summer terms 4 years ago and have had to add them as Transfer Credits to the transcript since there is a bug in the way credits add up if you have a summer term.  Please address this as well.

Let's take this opportunity to add functionality as well!  Being able to add all 4 averages (Weighted and UnWeighted GPA and Grade) had to be back door'd with an import of a custom field for this to work.  Alternate Course Names for Transcript was a feature in EE that we utilized.  We needed custom again to strip out course numbers that was part of our Course Title.  Thanks!

This really should be a priority. Every school has different needs when it comes to report cards and transcripts, so flexibility with formatting should be a given.

As Registrar at our school, I am working with our IT department to create a 1 page transcript, we have found it impossible for us to do what we need, with the current options/lack there of. We would like to use the two-COLUMN format, however, our course titles are quite lengthy. Our IT folks are not able to create what we need without the option to add labels/columns in the locations that work best.

Our school would like to use the two-COLUMN format, but our course titles are too long. I have tried adding columns to the transcript, but I need to label them and put grade plans in them so that doesn't give me the view I thought I would get. Do you know if there is a way to get the grade and credit columns to align to the right of each column which would give me more room for course titles?

Adding a text wrap feature would be helpful, but having the ability to edit and move columns etc where we need them would be ideal.

I must say it seems a little archaic to not be able to adjust anything about the design of grade reports or transcripts when you are supporting this many schools. At least give us the capability of creating our own crystal report that could tie into the On* Data?? Please?  :)
