This report needs the following changes in order for it to be useful to any but the smallest of schools. (e.g.when dealing with 1000 students):
Export Data to Excel is not really useful as is: it is simply an Excel file rendering of the regular report. Any "Exports to data" should return complete rows of each instance of the data so they can be manipulated in something like Excel .. e.g. Now it shows:
9/1/2022 8:30-9:30
Smith, John
Jones, Jane
9/2/2022 10:30-11:30
Doe, Danielle
It should show three rows [of two columns each]:
Period Student
9/1/2022 8:30-9:30 Smith, John
9/1/2022 8:30-9:30 Jones, Jane
9/2/2022 10:30-11:30 Doe, Danielle
This way, one can use these records to do something useful, like fill those free periods with a filler course.
Allow filtering on periods. Many times, one needs to target specific periods and/or needs to eliminate periods in the report. [e.g. an after-school period that is used by only a few students would not need to appear in the report
Allow filtering on grades [more than one but not all. e.g. to do grades 7, 8,9,10, and 11 [but not 12], it needs to be run FOUR TIMES
