By default, Team Roster page should display student Preferred Name and Last Name like class roster pages

Currently I have to go into Athletic Setup, Select Manage roster, Select a Team (we have 60), find and athlete and select edit, then check the box "display preferred name." Potentially I would have to do this 2,400 times. That's 800 students in 3 teams a year. This seems inefficient especially when the Academic class rosters display the preferred name by default.

    Hey Folks -

We recently updated the Manage Roster page that Athletic Group Managers use in Extracurricular. As part of that update, we removed the need to set the preferred name to display on an individual basis. Instead, the roster of the team will now pull from the User name format setting stipulated in Core > Users > User settings > User name format.

So long as the preferred name is listed in that setting to display, you will no longer have to make any updates to individuals on the Team roster.

Still waiting for this to be implemented. It works on the academic side, it should work for extracurricular teams.

Please make the preferred name the display default, or at least allow us to make it the default for an entire team.

A setting to specify the default published name on sports team rosters would be very helpful. Very tedious to have to go to each record to change it to display nickname.

at the very least - add a bottom to the team edit page that allows you to check the entire team roster and "display preferred name" for the team.

But - it really should be the default

this would be a HUGE help and time saver. Not to mention save us from missing one small check box that is 3 layers deep.
