I'd love for parents to be able to upload documents to the student checklist, but I don't want the documents to show to students unless we give permission. We have the ability to hide the checklist step from students, so it would be great if we could also hide the uploaded document on that checklist step as well.
When other documents are uploaded in bulk under Core>System tools>Bulk Upload >Bulk Upload User Files, we can manage who sees the files via Core>System tools>Bulk Upload >Manage User Files. Would love the ability to manage with this granularity, but we could also hide it by Misc File type under Admissions setup> Miscellaneous files> Type in use eg Photo.
Worse for us it is a derlicsion of our duty to protect that kind of personal information, anyone with premission to see the students profile can see it. The file name says what it is. BB protects it's self like crazy and leavse this backdoor open for our Contiuants to explot data we are charged with protecting
I also agree- Blackbaud generally provides very granular permissions when it comes to access. It was a huge problem to discover that there was no way to hide files submitted to checklists from students.
I agree. Noone planned this by design. This is an oversight and a bug.
I think this capability is not so much an idea as a bug.
I can't see how this behavior would be deliberate.
