Setting up candidate parents to receive the optional SMS event confirmation and reminders would be very hard to do using the typical steps of self managed Settings > Notifications > Phone verification....Instead, can the event registration have an option to offer auto SMS enrollment to registrants during the registration form step, which would then make the SMS confirmation and reminders for events actually work as intended.
