Many of our teachers use the feature that allows them to put an assignment on the calendar that will be ungraded (no show in the gradebook).  For example: a reading assignment. Once the due date has passed, unless the student manually changes it to COMPLETED, it appears to the parents and students as an OVERDUE assignment.
