Teachers would like a quick way to determine a student's preferred pronoun. Currently, they need to review each student's profile to view this informatino. Ideally, it would be displayed on the Roster tab, directly beneath their name.
I would like a way to indicate pronouns other than "He/him/his," "She/her/hers" and "They/them/theirs" since there are many combinations. Even an "Other" field would be good.
Quick update on this Idea. We'll be showing Pronouns on the Roster of Group Pages in the future. This field will be shown/displayed depending on the Profile Access settings. So, if you want Faculty to be able to see Pronouns on the Roster tab, they'll need to have the Access set before they will display. Likewise, if you want to turn this off for some constituents at your school, Profile Access will need to be configured.
Keep an eye out in the What's New, as we'll be sure communicated there before releasing this in the wild.

The most important application for recording student pronouns is making sure that the faculty are aware of them. It's not realistic to expect faculty to click through to the profile of every single student in every single class every semester to make sure they know their pronouns -- it is absolutely essential for pronouns to be able to appear on the roster. Please add this functionality so we can make sure our students will not be misgendered!

Please also consider the option to completely remove pronouns from the system. Our school does not want or need them.
