Assignments should display when assigned & due

Our teachers would like the option for students to see when an assignment is assigned on their calendar instead of just the date that it is due. It seems this was an option in the old assignment center.

A teacher, might post "Monday night's homework", but it isn't due until Wednesday, so the assignment only displays on Wednesday.

This would be helpful from a time management standpoint, to help students see what they need to work on, leading up to the due dates.

    Hi Folks -

With today's release, this is now possible. Students click on Filters > Show assignments by Assigned date to access this new setting. This can be used on both the Calendar view and the List view of the Assignment Center.

If you have any questions, feel free to reach out!

The old version was soooo helpful for students. They would see how long a teacher thought they should be spending on an assignment since there would be a graphic indication in the calendar showing the assignments assigned and due date. When we got our first look at the new AC, I complained about this. Teachers and students are hating on this.

Yes! This is particularly important for things due on a Sunday (since Sunday is considered the following week). If teachers ask them to look at something assigned in class - they have to go figure out when it is due to view it.
