    Admin response

Courses in progress will automatically show on the new builder under the appropriate academic year.

If the courses do not yet have grades for the columns selected and the 'Suppress courses without grades' option is selected, the courses will be suppressed.

The Admin Response is misinformed, Courses in Progress do not automatically show on the new builder. You have to choose the correct settings within the page element to use to build the transcripts. Courses/Groups do not have the option to suppress courses without grades by year. It shows all the courses from previous years.

I agree that it is absolutely vital to allow a separate way to to display courses currently in progress without affecting how previous years' courses are displayed.

It is now two years later and this simple, but necessary features still has not been added. When unsuppressing courses without grades, I am getting duplicate courses in previous years one with grades, one without even though the course has been completed. Can we please have a courses in progress for the current year / term?!?!?

This is vital to an accurate transcript. Courses in progress need to have their own section.

Clicking "do not supress courses without grades" does not work as showing courses in progress. Courses in progress. This should be seprate and indicate what semester it is applying to. If a student drops a year long course it won't show as being taken for only 1 semester. Even after the semester is over there is no indication that his course was dropped in the second semester. Not even by using credits attempted.

I see that this idea has been marked "already exists" but I do not think that this is totally accurate.  I do see where courses in progress will automatically show in the new builder as long as you don't suppress courses without grades.  However, I believe for all of us who have historical transfer grades on transcripts from a time period prior to our implementation of onRecord, we have no choice but to enable the suppress option.  Otherwise, we get duplicate course names (since the course names display both for the transfer grade and for the standard grade plan).

Anyone with historical transfer grades really needs the ability to suppress blank grades for old terms but not for the current term.  This would enable old blank standard grades from a time period before we used onRecord to be suppressed while allowing the current courses in progress to NOT be suppressed.
