We recently learned that "add attendance for a single student," from the Academics Dashboard and "Record Absence" from the Attendance tab of the Academic Profile (People Finder) behave differently when recording an absence. Specifically, if a student has a future enrollment date in a class, the "add attendance for a single student" will incorrectly record an absence even if the absence date is before their enroll date (the "Record Absence" button in the Academic Profile correctly does not include the class). Support says these tasks are each working as designed, so I would like to formally request they both work like the Record Absence button.
