We've been using conduct to manage infractions and consequences relatively successfully this past year. Other than some quirks related to thresholds that have already been discussed in the Community previously, I need to track parent acknowledgement of these infractions/consequences. Student Information System does automatically send an email to the parent regarding assigned infractions/consequences, but my principal would really like there to be some acknowledgment by the parent that they have received the email, that they have talked with their child, etc. Back when we were handling all conduct via paper, the parent would sign the conduct form and return to the school office. Now that we are all electronic, this is one aspect that seems to be lacking.
Yes please. Parent acknowledgement is a requirement of incident reports is a requirement for our state licensing, so this whole section is pretty much useless to us unless we can send a notification and require parents to acknowledge receipt.
