Yearlong grades from gradebook need to be able to be calculated in Grade Plans to put on Report Cards.

Currently, if you create formulas in a grade plan so you can use the "calculate" button in Grading, you are restricted to creating calculations that count each marking period as a stand alone grade. The gradebook, however, allows you to calculate a cumulative, running grade for the year. For yearlong classes, this is the way many teachers would like to grade, but we can't hit the "easy button" in grading to transfer those yearlong grades to the report card. This will lead to human error and the need to change grades. Please add this as a way to calculate in the grade plan.

I am going to remphasize how critically important this is. We just went through a grading report period and for those who did not use the Calculate button we had teachers where up to 50% of the grades were entered wrong on a manual entry because they could not do the drop-down grades correctly. Both teachers and students are able to see the yearlong grade in the gradebook/progress page, so the calculation is there. We need something that will allow us to use that number in the grading portion of the program so that our report cards are accurate.
